TUNGSTEN MORMYSHKA

Coachmen are manufactured from tungsten with density of 19.3 g/cm3 and equipped with "Kamasan" hooks (Japan). The main advantage of tungsten coachmen is a combination of heavy weight and small diameter.

The thin fore-end of "Kamasan" hooks allows you to apply such a soft ledger bait as a bloodworm, chemically sharpened tip along with optimal heat treatment safely strike and allow to play big fish.

When manufacturing coachmen from tungsten, a new technology was applied, which at present is commercialized in Russia only by company experts. It allows you to decrease considerably the volume of technological grooves in coachmen body, necessary for soldering of the hook, and increase strength of connection between the hook and the coachmen body.

Out of the great variety of mormyska - plummets manufactured these days, the great demand for those made out of materials with the higher specific gravity is well justified. Lead is used more often than other materials due to its numerous merits – baits manufacturability, ability to make practically all shapes of the mormyska – plummets, relative inexpensiveness of the material. This explains why lead mormyska – plummets are still popular with fishermen. However, the use of the mormyska – plummets made out of tungsten has been growing recently. Why?

Tungsten plummets

The main difference between the tungsten mormyska – plummets from the ones made out lead is that due to the higher density of the material the tungsten mormyska – plummets of the same weight as the lead ones, need less space.

This means first of all that the tungsten mormyska – plummet reaches the required depth quicker. Just this one quality justifies its use, especially for fishing in deep water. Under those circumstances the rate with which the bait is set on the spot of angling is crucial, as it would enable the angler to hold fish in place for the longer period of time and thus would increase the catch amount considerably, or would spare the angler from making more holes, which is also very important. If the fish is caught not only in the deep water but in the stream (current), tungsten proves to be best, especially when there is only one mormyska – plummet in the whole fishing tackle (additional hooks with the baits are not to be considered), implying a lot of action on the part of the fisher. In that situation those who prefer lead would have to equip their rods with the very big mormyska – plummet (the shallow one will be just carried away by the current) and still those fishermen are not sure what the fish would be attracted by - the mormyska – plummet or by the usual sinker.

It is understandable as mormyska – plummet plays the role of a sinker, and the whole fishing tackle turns out to be a miniature donkey, which in its turn excludes any activity of the part of the fisher. Quite often fishermen use standard fishing float, which sometimes could give good results. But using tungsten is a different thing. Due to its relatively little drag (because of the smaller size) the bait reaches the required depth rather fast and allows for the more active play. This improves the chances of a good catch, as fish finds bait not by its smell or lure, but is also attracted by the acoustic rippling caused by the mormyska – plummet.

Another advantage of the tungsten mormyska – plummet is its relatively small size. This is especially significant in the middle of the winter, when biting is usually very poor and one needs to be very resourceful to lure the fish onto the bait. It is well known that in the middle and at the end of winter fish prefer baits of relatively smaller size or just small. It is explained by the fact that most of the inhabitants of Russian reservoirs are practically ready for the spawning and they just wait for the right conditions to come. And since their reproductive organs have already considerably grown, they are no more able to chase larger catch. So, in this case the smaller size of the tungsten mormyska – plummet would secure at least some catch a fisherman, so that his relatives and friends would enjoy having fish.

Thirdly, it was noticed that as in the most cases the shape of marmyska – plummet has little importance, while its colour and size mean a lot. That means it is enough to have a mormyshka in the form of a regular ball or drop, coloured differently. The tungsten mormyska – plummets manufactured by our comapny meet all these criteria completely. There are over 12 colours in the range we offer, while the weight differs from 0.3 g to 8.5 g, which enables us to meet all possible requirements of the fishermen.

Colour range

We are all well aware that fish behaviour is almost unpredictable even it lives in the very well known, neighbouring reservoir. More over, the slightest change of air pressure, temperature, solar activity etc. could ruin all our attempts to catch something. And what vexes us most – the fact that your neighbour (pal, friend or some queer bird) is catching one fish after another while you have almost given up. And what is even more irritating if that fellow is that successful as he has been using the light-coloured mormyska – plummet, while you have one dark ones at hand! (But previously the fish was swallowing only the dark ones!) or vice versa. So, end up with inventing various combinations – e.g. try chipping off a piece of cigarette pack film padding to make a kind of mormyska – plummet out of it; or staining the mormyska – plummets you have – just to “kill” that shine etc. In order to assist you in all those situations we are offerring not only the uncoloured mormyska – plummets (in fact, they all grey metal colour at the beginning), but 6 versions of monochromatic and 5 versions of three-coloured devices as well. Any fish would love them. We care about your catch!

Application of tungsten mormyska – plummets

From the description above it is clear that the tungsten mormyskas – plummets are universal and could be used in all seasons. It is important, though, to understand which of the models meets your current requirements better than others.

Application of the tungsten mormyska – plummets is practically the same as the application of the lead ones. It should be noted, though:

  1. The catch-hook of the mormyshka-plummet should be relatively stronger (rigid);
  2. One should take into account the fact that with the same thickness of the fishing-line and the same size of the mormyska – plummet, the tension of the fishing –line will be higher and while playing with the mormyska – plummet this factor shall be taken into account.
  3. One should know that tungsten mormyska – plummets especially made in the form of a drop – could successfully work even without a real bait; on the condition you select the right frequency of rippling (most of the mormyska – plummets are also equipped with coloured glass beads which allows to bring about the rippling of a tool regardless of its actual body shape).

During summer time application of the tungsten mormyska – plummets is limited only by the imagination and habits of anglers. Say, white fish (roach, bream, ide, crucian, sea-roach, rudd etc.) are usually caught with a fishing-rod. No doubts, this tool is quite efficient and gives good results. But in case you decided on trying another way of fishing – much exciting and by all means much more profitable – by using mormyska – plummet, give it a try, and the catch will surprise not only you but your fellow – fishermen. Use of mormyska – plummet as a bait for perch fishing also ensures perfect results. And you don't have to hang somewhere in the middle of a lake, using a short fishing rod.

Fishing with the usual rod (the same as you use in a boat) equipped with mormyska – plummet would secure you efficient catch even if you are located near water front or amidst the reeds, 5-6 metres from the bank . The only things you should do – is to remove a float and a sinker, install mormyska – plummet and add a catch – and your highly productive fishing tackle is ready to use ! So, after you get used to the different length of a fishing rod which is a way longer than the one you use during winter time and after you adjust the diameter of the fishing –line (which should bigger - as fish is more active in summer!) you just go and catch, and catch and catch!
